Biograhpy

Dr. Gao Xiao was born in Hubei, P. R. China in 1986. As an MD-PhD, he obtained a PhD degree in Biomass Chemistry and Engineering from National Engineering Laboratory for Clean Technology of Leather Manufacture, Sichuan University under the supervision of Prof. Bi Shi, a academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. After that, he joined in the Department of Environmental Science and Engineering, Environment and Resource College of Fuzhou University. His current research interest is mainly focused on synthesizing novel adsorbents, nanostructured materials and high efficiency catalysts (such as photocatalysts, novel solid acid catalyst, heterogeneous hydrogenation catalyst, desulfurization and denitrification catalyst, et al.) based on the high-value use of biomass waste, and further explored their applications in the areas on energy and environmental remediation.
